The Role
As the Senior Product Owner, you will be responsible for establishing and embedding product management capability across the programme.
This is a strategic leadership role focused on creating the governance, frameworks, processes and artefacts required to support effective product-led delivery at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and embed product management best practices across the programme.
- Design and implement product governance frameworks, standards and operating models.
- Develop product management processes, artefacts and controls to support successful delivery.
- Create and manage robust backlog management and prioritisation frameworks.
- Ensure requirements are captured, refined and prioritised through structured and transparent processes.
- Align product priorities with business objectives, operational needs and programme outcomes.
- Lead product activities throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery through to delivery and continuous improvement.
- Define acceptance approaches, success measures and assurance mechanisms.
- Monitor product performance and ensure delivered solutions achieve intended business value.
- Provide clear reporting of progress, risks, dependencies and key decisions through governance forums.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders across business, operational and technology teams.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience operating as a Senior Product Owner, Lead Product Owner or Product Manager within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Proven track record of establishing product governance, frameworks and operating models.
- Strong experience managing complex backlogs, requirements and prioritisation processes.
- Demonstrable experience driving product-led delivery within multi-stakeholder environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior leadership.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methods and product management principles.
- Experience working in complex, regulated or secure environments.
Essential Requirements
- Active SC Clearance.
- Active NPPV3 Clearance.
- Able to attend a London office 3 days per week.
- Available to start within agreed timelines.
