Summary: The role of SC/DV Cleared Networking Architect involves supporting a major programme focused on the optimisation and transformation of secure network environments. Candidates must possess active SC or DV clearance and have expertise in Cisco and Zscaler technologies. The position requires both high-level architectural design and hands-on technical implementation, with opportunities available in London and Milton Keynes. The contract is for 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-level and low-level network designs for existing brownfield environments and optimisation projects.
  • Translate business and programme requirements into robust, scalable network architectures.
  • Conduct impact assessments, technical reviews, and architectural governance activities.
  • Ensure designs follow best practice for security, resilience, and operational efficiency.
  • Support or lead technical implementation, migrations, upgrades, and optimisation efforts.
  • Troubleshoot complex networking issues within secure environments.
  • Validate designs through PoCs, testing, and phased deployment approaches.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, vendors, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Provide technical assurance and guidance to junior and mid-level architects.
  • Contribute to the development of design patterns, standards, and configuration baselines.
  • Strong experience with Cisco enterprise and security technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) and associated integration patterns.
  • Deep technical understanding of routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), MPLS & VPN architectures, SD-WAN, firewall technologies, and zero-trust concepts.
  • Active SC or DV clearance (mandatory).
  • Experience working in restricted or sensitive operational environments.

Overview

We are seeking experienced SC or DV Cleared Networking Architects to support a major programme involving optimisation and brownfield transformation of complex, secure network environments. This role requires a combination of high-level architectural design and hands-on technical implementation, working closely with technical teams and stakeholders across the organisation.

The ideal candidates will possess deep expertise in Cisco and Zscaler technologies (with further technical stack details to be confirmed), as well as proven experience operating in highly secure or restricted environments.

We are recruiting a mix of senior and mid-level architects across both London and Milton Keynes locations.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

  • Develop high-level and low-level network designs for existing brownfield environments and optimisation projects.
