Summary: The role of a Security Cleared VMware Consultant involves leading design, automation, and modernization initiatives for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) across multiple customer environments in the UK. The consultant will develop scalable cloud templates and orchestrate virtual infrastructure while ensuring strong customer engagement and communication. The position requires active security clearance and on-site presence at various locations. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise and the ability to guide and upskill customer teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery and design workshops for current vSphere and VCF environments.
- Develop Future State Architectures, high-level implementation roadmaps, and detailed design documentation.
- Design and deploy VCF environments, including Management and Workload Domains.
- Deliver end-to-end solutions using the Aria Suite. (Aria Automation & Aria Operations)
- Integrate Terraform and PowerShell automation to streamline virtual infrastructure deployment.
- Design and implement NSX and Avi Networks (ALB) solutions for both VCF and non-VCF environments.
- Deliver Identity & Access Management, Developer Ready Infrastructure, and Operational Intelligence components.
- Provide architectural reviews, documentation, and ongoing upskilling for customer teams.
- Collaborate with internal and customer stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic cloud and automation goals.
Key Skills:
- Proven expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 5.x-9.x) design and deployment.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of the VMware Aria Suite (Automation, Operations, Operations for Logs, Operations for Networks).
- Experience with NSX, Avi Networks (ALB), and related VMware security tools (DFW, ATP, vDefend).
- Proficiency in Terraform, PowerShell, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Experience in creating cloud templates, automation pipelines, and orchestration workflows.
- Understanding of Identity & Access Management, Monitoring & Analytics, and Developer Ready Infrastructure.
- Ability to produce professional architecture documentation and implementation roadmap.

Overview
We are looking for experienced Security Cleared VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)/Aria Suite Architect to lead design, automation, and modernisation initiatives across multiple customer environments. This role will focus on developing scalable cloud templates, orchestrating virtual infrastructure, and driving automation and observability using VMware's Aria and NSX technologies.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong communication and customer engagement skills, acting as both an architect and a hands-on consultant who can guide, upskill, and integrate closely with customer teams.
