Job Description
You will lead a structured review of the Swift products, services and connectivity options that payment system participants use, or might use, to connect into core payments infrastructure.
The work runs in three linked phases. First, discovery: building a clear evidence base on Swift hardware and software, certificate and token models, messaging and API services, cloud and hosted options and service bureaux.
Then a risk assessment using a methodology you design, covering cyber, identity and access, operational resilience, third party and concentration risk.
Then recommendations: which configurations should be permitted, and on what conditions.
You will also draft governance papers and the consequential changes to CHAPS documentation and participant rules.
There are some live use cases with March 2027 timelines, including API access and Swift Alliance Cloud, so a few things will need landing early.
Expect to work with payments, technology, cyber and risk teams, and alongside internal staff when engaging Swift directly.
Substantive work is probably 6 to 12 weeks, but elapsed time could run longer.
