Summary: The role of SC Cleared Scrum Master involves facilitating Agile delivery for a major government project in Telford, requiring SC clearance. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews for migration teams.
- Ensure teams follow Agile best practices and maintain focus on sprint goals.
- Track progress against sprint commitments and manage delivery risks.
- Collaborate with Product Owner and stakeholders to prioritise backlog items.
- Identify and resolve blockers impacting migration activities.
- Escalate issues where necessary and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Promote a culture of learning and process optimisation.
- Gather feedback and implement improvements to enhance team performance.
- Provide clear and timely updates on progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Facilitate alignment between technical teams, business analysts, and test teams.
- Ensure delivery aligns with HMRC security and quality standards.
- Support reporting for governance boards and programme assurance.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in complex, multi-team environments.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and scaled delivery models.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Familiarity with SAS technologies (SAS 9.4, SAS Viya 3.x/4) - desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in Agile tools (Jira, Confluence).

We are heading up a recruitment drive for a global consultancy that require a SC Cleared Scrum Master to join them on a major government project that's based in Telford 2 days per week.
Purpose of the Role:
To facilitate Agile delivery and ensure effective collaboration across teams during the migration of HMRC's SAS estate (including SAS 9.4 and Viya 3.5 components) to SAS Viya 4 on DPS AWS. The Scrum Master will drive adherence to Agile principles, remove impediments, and enable continuous improvement throughout the project life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Facilitation:
Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews for migration teams.
Ensure teams follow Agile best practices and maintain focus on sprint goals.
Delivery Support:
Track progress against sprint commitments and manage delivery risks.
Collaborate with Product Owner and stakeholders to prioritise backlog items.
Impediment Removal:
Identify and resolve blockers impacting migration activities.
Escalate issues where necessary and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Continuous Improvement:
Promote a culture of learning and process optimisation.
Gather feedback and implement improvements to enhance team performance.
Stakeholder Communication:
Provide clear and timely updates on progress, risks, and dependencies.
