Summary: The role is for two experienced Senior Platform Engineers with Active SC Clearance to enhance and support a client's cloud-native infrastructure on AWS. The position involves working in a high-performing team to solve complex infrastructure challenges and improve developer experience through automation and CI/CD practices. The contract duration is between 3 to 6 months, with a hybrid working arrangement. Candidates should have a strong background in AWS and Kubernetes, among other technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and support cloud-native infrastructure on AWS.
- Deliver secure, scalable, and well-automated platform capabilities.
- Drive automation and improve developer experience through CI/CD and Kubernetes practices.
- Collaborate with a high-performing team to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
- Support and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.
Key Skills:
- Strong background in AWS (EKS, EC2, IAM, networking, security groups, etc.).
- Solid Kubernetes expertise (Helm, manifests, troubleshooting, upgrades).
- Proven experience with GitLab CI/CD runners (autoscaling, Docker, configuration).
- Strong knowledge of Terraform or other IaC tooling.
- Experience with containerisation and image management (Docker, ECR).
- Familiar with observability and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting and mentoring junior engineers.

Rate: £625 - £650 / day Outside IR35
Location: Manchester (2-3 days / week on-site)
