Summary: The role of Network Engineer requires a MOD SC cleared sole UK national to work on-site in Barrow-in-Furness for a duration of 3 months, with potential for extension. Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake equipment installation and configuration activities for complex or high business-impact solutions
- Perform wired and wireless infrastructure surveys
- Support office moves, adds and changes
- Carry out technical refreshes of network hardware and cabling
- Configure core infrastructure components, including Switches, Routers, Firewalls, load balancers and voice systems
- Perform impact assessments on large or complex networks
- Perform testing against pre-determined plans and analyse results
Key Skills:
- At least 5 years' experience in Network Engineering roles
- Demonstrable experience configuring network systems, including switching, routing, Firewalling, load balancing and voice
- Cisco CCNA-level qualification or vendor-equivalent accreditation
- Knowledge of network security, VPNs, converged networks and broadband technologies
- Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN and voice network infrastructures for enterprise organisations
- Understanding of racking, cabling and containment systems and standards
- Subject Matter Expert experience in one or more areas would be advantageous
- Strong behavioural competencies around change, urgency and versatility
- Awareness of company values and ability to demonstrate adherence to them

Clearance Requirements
Contractor must be MOD SC cleared and a sole UK national.
The candidate must:
- Have MOD SC clearance that has been actively used within the last 12 months
- Have at least 3 months remaining on their SC clearance to allow time for interview, offer and clearance transfer
- Not have spent more than 28 consecutive days outside the UK within the last 5 years
Role Description
You will work on a client site in collaboration with Capgemini and client Project Managers, SMEs and Architects to deliver projects on time and above customer expectations.
You will also work closely with support teams and other functions to ensure seamless integration of project work into the Run service.
