Summary: We are looking for a highly capable SC Cleared DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to lead the secure design and delivery of infrastructure for Digital Imaging Systems and Traffic Management Subsystems. This contract role is outside IR35 and initially spans three months, with a strong possibility of extension. The position involves delivering secure, scalable virtualized platforms and implementing automated infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with various technologies including Ansible, Terraform, and Ubuntu/RHEL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver secure, scalable virtualized platforms (Ubuntu/RHEL-based)
  • Configure and optimize virtual GPU (vGPU) environments for compute-intensive workloads
  • Implement automated infrastructure using Ansible and Terraform
  • Build and validate networking, Firewalls, and HTTPS configurations
  • Integrate centralized logging (eg rsyslog) and monitoring tools (eg SCOM)
  • Conduct system hardening, vulnerability mitigation, and SSL/TLS management
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, QA processes, and incremental deployment activities

We have partnered with a global IT consultancy to support a critical deployment project for defence-grade imaging and traffic systems.

We are seeking a highly capable SC Cleared DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to lead the secure design and delivery of infrastructure for Digital Imaging Systems (DIS) and Traffic Management Subsystems (TMS). This is a contract role (Outside IR35) for an initial 3-month engagement, with high potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver secure, scalable virtualized platforms (Ubuntu/RHEL-based)

  • Configure and optimize virtual GPU (vGPU) environments for compute-intensive workloads

  • Implement automated infrastructure using Ansible and Terraform
