Summary: This role is for an SC Cleared SAS Data Engineer focused on developing and optimizing data pipelines within SAS environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimise data pipelines using SAS (Enterprise Guide and, where applicable, Viya)
- Design and implement SQL-based data transformations with a focus on performance and scalability
- Collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Perform unit testing and validation to ensure data quality and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, identifying root causes and implementing fixes
- Document workflows and processes to ensure maintainability
- Support migration and modernisation initiatives, including transitions to SAS Viya
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with SAS Enterprise Guide
- Advanced SQL skills (complex queries, joins, aggregations, performance tuning)
- Exposure to SAS Viya and cloud-enabled SAS environments
- Experience in data testing, validation, and reconciliation
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Solid understanding of data models and data flows
- Comfortable working independently and within agile or hybrid teams
