Summary: The role of SC Cleared Data Analyst involves supporting a major central government programme by delivering insightful reporting and analysis to inform policy and operational decisions. The position requires active SC clearance and focuses on transforming complex data into actionable insights, primarily using Power BI and cloud-based data platforms. The analyst will work within a multidisciplinary team and engage with various stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and governance. This contract role offers a flexible hybrid working model with 1-2 days on-site in either London or Manchester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality analysis, dashboards, and MI products to support decision-making
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards
- Work with data engineers and architects to define data requirements and models
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, and adherence to governance standards
- Present insights clearly to senior stakeholders and operational teams
- Support continuous improvement of analytical capability across the programme
Key Skills:
- Active Security Clearance (SC) - must be current and transferable
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst within central government or regulated environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard and report development, DAX and semantic model design, and data visualisation best practices
- Solid SQL skills for data querying and validation
- Experience working with cloud data platforms (Azure and/or AWS)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to explain data to non-technical audiences

You'll play a key role in transforming complex data into clear, actionable insight, with a strong focus on Power BI, structured data analysis, and cloud-based data platforms.
Key Requirements

- Proven experience as a Data Analyst within central government or regulated environments
