Summary: The role is for an SC Cleared or Clearable Data Protection Officer/Privacy Specialist to join a UK Government programme on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities:

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Protection Officer/Privacy Specialist.

• Experience working with government clients/projects.
• Eligibility for SC Clearance or active SC Clearance.
• Background in Big Tech firms or Cloud consultancies is desirable.

SC Cleared / Clearable Data Protection Officer - 6 Month Contract (OUTSIDE IR35)

iO Associates are currently looking for an SC Cleared (preferable) or Clearable Data Protection Officer / Privacy Specialist to join a UK Government programme.

This is an OUTSIDE IR35 Contract role offering up to £675 a day for an initial 6 months (scope to extend by 12 months). This is a hybrid working role (mostly remote) and you're able to work from either London, Bristol or Manchester.

We're looking for candidates with 5+ years experience working as a Data Protection Officer / Data Protection Specialist / Privacy Specialist / Technologist who ideally has experience working with Government clients / projects and is IAPP certified (CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT).

In terms of background, you'd ideally have worked for Big Tech firms and big Cloud consultancies before into government programmes (desirable). You need to be eligible for SC Clearance (UK National) or ideally you'd hold active SC Clearance.
