SC Cleared Change Manager - Contract - Outside IR35

Summary: The SC Cleared Change Manager role involves leading change management efforts for a finance transformation programme within a Defence Organisation. The position requires active SC Clearance and focuses on stakeholder engagement, assessing organisational impact, and supporting the transition to a new finance system. The role is contract-based, offering a competitive daily rate and requires on-site presence three days a week in Berkshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and analyse the organisational impact of implementation
  • Engage with finance stakeholders to understand current processes and future-state requirements
  • Develop and deliver change management strategies aligned with programme milestones
  • Support the transition from high-level design into SIT (System Integration Testing) phase
  • Identify risks and challenges associated with business change and adoption
  • Produce impact assessments, communication plans and readiness assessments
  • Support training planning and business readiness activities
  • Work closely with programme teams, including delivery, testing, and functional SMEs

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Change Manager on large-scale transformation programmes
  • Strong experience with Finance teams and/or systems
  • Ability to assess business processes and identify downstream impacts of system changes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly within complex organisations
  • Experience working within Defence or secure environments is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of change frameworks, methodologies, and governance
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Active SC Clearance and willingness to undergo DV Clearance

About the Client
Digital Skills are working with a Defence Organisation undertaking a major transformation programme across its finance function. The client is currently implementing a new Finance System to modernise processes and improve operational efficiency.

About the Role
This role will play a key part in ensuring the successful adoption of the new finance system across the finance division. You will focus on assessing organisational impact, shaping change strategies, and supporting the business through the transition into the testing and delivery phases of the programme.
