Summary: The SC Cleared Business Analyst role involves blending traditional business analysis with the specific requirements of a high assurance environment, focusing on rigorous requirements management and collaboration with various teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Leading requirements elicitation across technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring all needs are captured, validated, and traceable.
- Translating business needs into capabilities, structured requirements, user stories, process models, and acceptance criteria suitable for secure engineering operations.
- Supporting solution design by working closely with systems engineers, architects, and security specialists.
- Facilitating workshops, interviews, and structured analysis sessions in environments where information sensitivity and access controls apply.
- Maintaining configuration-controlled documentation, ensuring compliance with security, quality, and audit standards.
- Analysing business processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, resilience, and compliance.
- Contributing to risk assessments, impact analyses, and change control processes.
- Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring shared understanding throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Skills:
- Must be hold or be capable of obtaining a Full UK SC Clearance.
- Strong background in business analysis within engineering, defence, aerospace, critical national infrastructure, or similarly regulated sectors.
- Demonstrable experience producing high-quality requirements and process artefacts (eg, BPMN, use cases, user stories, data models).
- Familiarity with systems engineering principles and lifecycle models (eg, V-model, Agile in secure contexts).
- Knowledge of security accreditation processes, Cyber Essentials or Secure-by-Design principles.
