Summary: We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer for a hybrid contract role that requires active SC Clearance. The position involves designing and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability and security. The contractor will work directly with the client’s payroll system, eliminating the need for an umbrella company. This role is crucial for supporting a secure, high-profile programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using DevOps best practices.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance across AWS environments.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, security, and delivery teams.
- Support automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer in complex environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native tooling.
- Experience with CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code (eg Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
- Active SC Clearance is mandatory.
