Summary: The Satellite Systems Test Engineer role involves working on complex satellite and space projects, focusing on the preparation and execution of test procedures and sequences. The engineer will provide first-line support during testing, prepare technical reports, and contribute to non-conformance reviews. SC Clearance is required for this position, which is based in Stevenage and classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpretation of electrical and functional test requirements from test specifications.
  • Provide test solutions from planning through execution, including test sequence coding and procedure preparation.
  • Provide first-line support to the test operations team during spacecraft tests.
  • Close out tests with Post Test Review and Test Report.
  • Provide technical inputs to project test reviews.
  • Develop and debug Automatic Test procedures using bespoke software languages.
  • Prepare and execute spacecraft system investigations based on Non-Conformance Review Board actions.
  • Support functional and performance tests during environmental testing.

Key Skills:

  • Proven ability to write test sequences/scripts for spacecraft tests.
  • Working knowledge of TMTC Databases.
  • Able to prepare test procedures and sequences from specifications.
  • Desirable technical knowledge of spacecraft systems.
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages, particularly Linux/Unix bash scripts.
  • Knowledge of Electrical/Spacecraft Systems fault investigation.
  • Familiarity with environmental and launch test campaigns.
  • Knowledge of system testing & Verification.
