Summary: The SAS System Responsible Engineer will be involved in the Johan Castberg project, focusing on the design and implementation of automation systems for onshore and offshore energy projects. The role requires extensive experience in SAS, SIL, and emergency systems, along with responsibilities in functional safety and alarm management. The position is based in West London, with the possibility of remote support from the UK. The contract is set to last until August 2025, with options for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in studies and concept development
- Responsible for the overall automation system design
- SAS, SIL, F&G and emergency systems
- Developing control philosophies, functional specifications, and system/network architectures for automation systems
- Preparation of I/O schedules, control narratives and Cause & effect diagrams
- Functional safety related activities such as HAZOP/LOPA reviews, design of Safety Instrumented functions and SIL verification
- Alarm management activities such as developing alarm schedules and participation in alarm rationalization workshops
- Familiarity with networking protocols and interfacing of 3rd party systems with main automation systems
- Ensure discipline integration and coordination with other project disciplines
- Follow up deliverables from vendors
- Provide technical support to construction and commissioning
- Input and use of technical registers (COMOS, MIPS, Client systems, etc.)
- Make sure the expectations towards HMS and quality are fulfilled
- Take actions towards our project execution model to meet requirements in the project
Key Skills:
- Bachelor or Master in relevant field
- 10+ years’ experience as SAS System Engineer from onshore or offshore projects
- Previous experience with ESD and F&G is needed
