Summary: The SAS Engineer role involves supporting the migration of SAS data and metadata objects from an on-premises environment to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The candidate should possess strong expertise in Base SAS, SAS DI, and SAS Macros, along with a solid understanding of data warehousing and SQL. The position is hybrid, requiring two days on-site in London, and is contracted for three months. The role is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate SAS data (Base SAS, SPDS) and SAS metadata objects (DI Jobs, SAS Flows, etc.) from On-Prem to GCP.
• Validate flow outputs through data, log, and performance comparison.
• Troubleshoot data issues, SAS code (Base SAS & Macros), DI Jobs, and SAS Flows.
• Ensure smooth handling of encoding changes (WLatin to UTF8) during migration.
• Work with large-scale data (GBs & TBs), identifying efficient ways to migrate vast datasets.
• Utilize strong SQL skills, especially within Proc SQL in SAS and DI Jobs.
• Leverage basic Unix/Linux knowledge for troubleshooting and operational tasks.
