Summary: The SAS Architect role involves leading the upgrade and re-platforming of the SAS environment as part of a bank's transition to the SAS Viya hosted managed service. This is a hybrid position based in Manchester, with a contract duration of 6-12 months inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design the architecture for the SAS upgrade/re-platforming, ensuring integration with SAS Viya.
• Collaborate with the SAS team to define and implement system design and architecture.
• Provide architectural solutions for integrating various systems within the SAS environment.
• Offer technical leadership throughout the upgrade process, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Identify and implement strategies for optimising SAS performance.
• Manage potential risks in the architecture or deployment process.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture and design decisions.
• Engage regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and communication.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in designing and implementing SAS systems, particularly in upgrade contexts.
