Summary: The SAP Transition Lead is responsible for overseeing the handover of a multi-module SAP landscape into Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations, focusing on SuccessFactors, SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP Ariba, and SAP Cloud ALM. The role emphasizes the establishment of a support model, knowledge transfer, governance, and early-life support to ensure a smooth transition and minimize business disruption. The position requires coordination with various teams to ensure production readiness and effective operational support. The ultimate goal is to facilitate a controlled transition from project mode to stable operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the BAU operating model for SF, S/4HANA Finance, Ariba, and SAP Cloud ALM, aligned to enterprise ITSM and business needs.
- Create and maintain a detailed transition plan and timeline covering cutover, hyper care, and knowledge transfer milestones.
- Design runbooks, operational playbooks, support procedures, escalation matrices, and SLA definitions for each solution area.
- Lead end-to-end knowledge transfer activities: documentation handover, shadowing, workshops, and competency validation for BAU teams and external service providers.
- Coordinate with project teams, integrators, infrastructure, security, and application support to ensure production readiness (interfaces, jobs, batch schedules, authorizations, transports).
- Implement and configure SAP Cloud ALM to support monitoring, alerting, business process observation, test management, and deployment tracking during hypercare and ongoing BAU.
- Manage hyper care and stabilization phase: organize rosters, troubleshoot critical incidents, prioritize fixes and migrations to permanent fixes, and ensure smooth SLA achievement.
- Establish governance forums for ongoing issue tracking, release cadence, change control, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure test coverage, cutover rehearsals, and data reconciliation activities are completed prior to go-live.
Key Skills:
