Summary: The SAP TM Developer role involves designing, developing, and supporting ABAP solutions specifically for SAP TM modules, focusing on enhancements, integrations, and warehouse execution developments. The position requires participation in technical discussions, solution feasibility evaluations, and the development of various technical objects related to EWM/TM processes. Additionally, the role includes providing end-user support and maintaining documentation to ensure successful implementation and operation of SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support ABAP solutions for SAP TM modules including enhancements, integrations, and warehouse execution related developments.
- Participate in fit-gap discussions from a technical standpoint and propose robust solutions.
- Perform solution feasibility evaluation, high-level design, and effort estimation.
- Develop and enhance EWM/TM-related objects such as:
- Enhancements/BADIs/User exits, custom reports, interfaces
- IDoc/RFC/Proxies, Middleware integrations
- OData services/CDS views, ABAP OO, performance optimization
- Adobe Form outputs (labels, delivery/warehouse documents)
- RF Framework enhancements/screens
- Support technical enablement of EWM processes such as Inbound/Outbound, Put-away, Picking, Packing, HU management, Wave management, Labor/Resource, Yard, Physical Inventory, etc.
- Support TM processes like Freight Order lifecycle, Planning/Execution, Charge Calculation, Settlement, Carrier Integration, and event handling from a technical standpoint
- Validate the solution to meet business requirements; support UAT execution and defect resolution.
- Provide end-user support, training assistance, and handle go-live/hyper care activities.
- Create/maintain documentation: technical specs, training/support documents.
Key Skills:
- 3+ years ABAP development experience with strong exposure to SAP TM technical objects.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations (full-cycle, initiation to closure) preferred.
- Strong hands-on in ABAP Objects, enhancements framework, debugging, performance tuning
- Experience with S/4HANA developments (CDS/OData/AMDP preferred)
- Good knowledge of integration patterns and warehouse-related interfaces.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; experience in client-facing roles.
