Summary: The SAP Tester role involves analyzing, preparing, and executing the System Test phase for release-based projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, prepare, and execute the System Test phase of projects.
  • Review customer requirements, functional specifications, and APIs.
  • Identify test cases and create test scripts, exploratory charters, and automated test scripts.
  • Prepare test data and run/record tests.
  • Ensure traceability of tests to user requirements and functional specifications.
  • Create low-level test plans and assess testability of designs.
  • Run tests, collect and record results, and retest to verify corrections.
  • Create automation test scripts, preferably using TOSCA.
  • Provide regular status reports and identify project risks and issues.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrable SAP Experience.
  • Demonstrable XML Experience (including XML validation and manipulation).
  • Experience with defect management tools (JIRA or similar).
  • ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of Windows, Oracle, SQL, Java, XML, TOAD, Maestro, and WebMethods.

Role Title: SAP Testers

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Worthing (Hybrid)

Rate: £350-£400p/d via Umbrella

Clearance: BPSS

Role Brief

The role will involve the analysis, preparation and execution of the System Test phase of one or more release-based projects. Reporting to a Test Lead, activities include reviewing customer requirements/functional specifications/APIs, test analysis to identify test cases and create test scripts/exploratory charters and/or automated test scripts (using TOSCA), test data preparation and running/recording tests.

  • This role requires an excellent understanding of test techniques and Risk Based Testing (RBT) in order to verify outcomes against the expected results, and record results for use in audit trails, using quality processes and procedures.
  • Traceability of tests to user requirements, risks and functional specifications.
    Checking and assessing requirements, including assessing testability of designs.
    Creating low-level test plans, test scripts and setting up test data.
  • Running tests, collecting and recording results and then retesting to prove that errors identified have been corrected.
  • Creation of automation test scripts, experience of TOSCA preferable but not essential.
  • Providing regular status reports to the test manager as well as identifying and raising project risks and issues.
