Summary: The SAP Security & Identity Consultant role focuses on hands-on delivery within a live S/4HANA Public Cloud programme, emphasizing the importance of security in the design and implementation of roles, authorizations, and identity management. The consultant will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to enhance security architecture and ensure effective access management. This position requires ownership and decision-making in a dynamic environment, rather than merely maintaining existing systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing SAP roles and authorisation models
- Running SoD analysis and shaping practical controls
- Building and improving role provisioning and access workflows
- Working with stakeholders to translate real processes into security design
- Supporting and improving a live S/4HANA environment
- Identifying gaps and tightening up existing security architecture
Key Skills:
- Strong SAP Security & Authorisations experience
- Hands-on with S/4HANA (Public Cloud ideally, but not essential)
- Experience with role design and access control models
- Good understanding of SoD and governance
- Comfortable working directly with stakeholders and delivery teams
- Ability to take ownership and make decisions
- Nice to have: SAP Fiori / HANA security experience
- Nice to have: Exposure to SAP Access Control / GRC
- Nice to have: Experience in implementation or transformation programmes

You’ll be joining a live S/4HANA Public Cloud programme where security isn’t an afterthought. They need someone who can take ownership of roles, authorisations, and identity management, and make it work properly in a real environment.
This is hands-on delivery. You’ll be designing how access works across the business, not just maintaining what’s already there.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll act as the go-to for SAP Security across the platform, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Designing and implementing SAP roles and authorisation models
- Running SoD analysis and shaping practical controls
- Building and improving role provisioning and access workflows
- Working with stakeholders to translate real processes into security design
- Supporting and improving a live S/4HANA environment
- Identifying gaps and tightening up existing security architecture
You’ll also play a key role in ongoing enhancements, so this isn’t just a “keep the lights on” role.
