Summary: The SAP S/4HANA Trainer (Finance Applications) role involves leading the design and delivery of end-user training for SAP S/4HANA Finance and related systems within a large-scale finance transformation program. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to develop a comprehensive training strategy and deliver high-quality learning materials. The trainer will also conduct instructor-led training and support post-go-live activities to ensure successful adoption of the finance platforms. This is a hybrid role based in London, requiring a minimum of three days in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, governance, and global delivery of end-user training for SAP S/4HANA Finance and integrated finance platforms.
- Refine the end-to-end training strategy for SAP S/4HANA Finance and boundary systems.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify capability gaps and learning segments.
- Own training plans aligned to go-live milestones.
- Develop a scalable global training strategy covering learning channels, delivery methodologies, and resource models.
- Design and deliver role-based curricula across various finance processes.
- Create high-quality learning assets including user guides, process walkthroughs, and e-learning modules.
- Lead global train-the-trainer programs and deliver instructor-led training.
- Facilitate workshops, simulations, and hands-on labs.
- Support post-go-live hyper-care and refresher sessions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on adoption and readiness.
- Collaborate with Finance SMEs, Solution Leads, IT & SIs.
Key Skills:
- 7+ years leading global training teams across multiple time zones in a matrixed organization.
- 7+ years delivering enterprise systems training with strong SAP S/4HANA Finance exposure.
- Hands-on experience training across S/4HANA Finance modules.
- Proven leadership in large-scale ERP / Finance transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of R2R, P2P, O2C, and T&E processes.
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification (highly desirable).
- Experience supporting global, multi-country rollouts.
- Exposure to LMS, WalkMe, or digital adoption platforms.

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Trainer to lead the design, governance, and global delivery of end-user training for SAP S/4HANA Finance and integrated finance platforms including Basware, BlackLine, WebCollect and other boundary systems. This is a critical role within a large-scale finance transformation programme, ensuring successful adoption of enterprise finance platforms across global operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work with the established Training & Change team and the SI Partner to refine the end-to-end training strategy for SAP S/4HANA Finance and integrated boundary systems.
- Assess global Finance operating models, locations, workforce structures, and change impacts to complete the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify capability gaps and learning segments.
- Own training plans aligned to go-live milestones.
- Develop a scalable global training strategy covering:
- Learning channels and modalities
- Delivery methodologies
- Resource model and team structure
- Sequencing and key dependencies
- Design and deliver role-based curricula across:
- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Travel & Expense (T&E)
- Create high-quality learning assets including:
- User guides & job aids
- Process walkthroughs
- E-learning modules
- System simulations
- Lead global train-the-trainer programmes.
- Deliver instructor-led training (virtual & in-person).
