Summary: The SAP Project Manager role at EG Group involves leading and managing the delivery of SAP upgrades and implementations within a complex international IT landscape. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the successful delivery of SAP upgrades, changes, and implementations.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to align project objectives with business goals.
  • Lead and mentor project team members, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks impacting project timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Evaluate new technologies and methodologies for innovation and efficiency.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and achievements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Ensure SAP projects comply with IT governance policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field.
  • Project Management certification (Prince2 or equivalent).
  • Experience with SAP ECC and S4 Hana.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP Project Management.
  • Proven track record in delivering large, complex SAP implementations.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules and their integration.
  • Knowledge of Data Migration strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

About The Role

EG Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced SAP Project Manager to work with our SAP Centre of Excellence team! EG Group has embarked on a roadmap journey of upgrading, migrating and modernizing the SAP systems in the Application landscape. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage the successful delivery of SAP upgrades, changes and implementations in line with business requirements and project standards
  • Stakeholder management: Engage with key stakeholders, including cross-functional business teams, senior management and external vendors, to align project objectives with business goals and ensure successful project delivery
  • Project Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project team members, ensuring alignment with project timelines, resources, and quality standards. Assign tasks and track progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Scope and Resource Management: Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans. Allocate resources appropriately, balancing priorities to meet the needs of multiple projects.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact project timelines. Prioritize based on business impact and criticality.
  • Business Process Change Management (BPCM): Collaborate with key business and IT stake holders to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems
  • Continuous improvement: Evaluate new technologies and methodologies to drive innovation, optimization and efficiency within the organization.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks and achievements. Ensure the relevant project management tools are kept up to date
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Application (SAP) Test manager, cross-functional teams, PMO team, Business users, Process Owners, Solution Architects and other Functional Consultants to ensure clear communication and alignment
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure that SAP Projects are fully aligned and in compliance with IT governance policies, data security standards, and regulatory requirements. Ensure alignment with Internal and External IT Control frameworks and future application roadmap

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT or related field
  • Essential: Project Management certification (Prince2 or equivalent)
  • Essential: SAP ECC and S4 Hana Experience
  • Desirable: Certifications in SAP
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP Project Management, with at least 3 years in a Project manager role
  • Proven track record in successfully delivering large, complex SAP implementations and upgrades
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules and their integration within IT landscapes
  • Knowledge of Data Migration strategies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with multiple teams across disciplinary boundaries.
