12-month secondment/fixed-term contract

With our SAP go-live date approaching here at Co-op, we're looking for an experienced Project Accountant to oversee the financial support and finance business partnering for this critical system transformation. Sitting within the central FP&A team, you'll work closely day to day with the Programme Director and Programme Lead to ensure the project stays on budget. You'll also support the financials on pan Co-op SAP projects, ensuring seamless financial management across workstreams. This is a high-visibility role where you'll engage with key stakeholders, providing detailed financial insights to drive informed decision making. What you'll do

  • Oversee the financial management of the SAP transformation project, including budgets of end-to-end projects and managing spend and performance of individual business cases to ensure the delivery within budget and identifying where cost savings can be made
  • Work closely with the programme leadership team and wider business unit to provide detailed financial analysis and insights that support key decision making
  • Provide support and challenge to make sure that initiatives are carried out efficiently, and benefits are delivered
  • Track that all plans are delivered to target and internal quality standards
  • Support post-implementation SAP projects across the business, managing financial processes for FTP and RBTE whilst ensuring strong financial governance
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management of cost centres, and have an overall understanding of corporate cost positions
  • Lead, mentor and support the development of a lead financial analyst
