Summary: The SAP Programme Manager – Service Readiness will coordinate and implement a comprehensive Service Design and Transition strategy for a global SAP S/4HANA deployment. This role requires a proactive individual with strong project management skills and experience in large-scale change management. The position involves collaboration across various teams to ensure compliance and seamless integration of IT services. The role is hybrid, requiring three days on-site in Cheshire for an initial 12-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive programme-wide Service Design & Transition (SD&T) strategy covering all aspects of the SAP S/4HANA deployments and affected non-SAP systems and IT services.
- Lead compliance tracking, ensuring all elements adhere to the established SD&T processes, and report progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders effectively.
- Collaborate with the SD&T Team to ensure adherence to guidelines that govern AstraZeneca’s operations, ensuring compliance with regulations such as SoX, Privacy, and GxP.
- Collaborate with the Regional Site IT group and the Global Service Desk group to ensure adherence to service offerings and service readiness.
- Deliver regular performance management reports and updates to the Axial Programme and SD&T Team.
- Support the creation of process documentation and training materials for SD&T processes.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in IT Service Management, Service Design, and Transition processes.
- Experience of developing and implementing programme-wide Service Design & Transition (SD&T) strategy.
- Experience in ECC / S/4 and non-SAP systems deployments in large global organisations.
- Solid understanding of project / programme management principles.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including communication and relationship-building capabilities at a senior level.
- Experience applying policies, procedures, and risk management within regulatory frameworks.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively under pressure.
- Experience with AstraZeneca’s operating environment is advantageous.

Whitehall Resources are looking for an SAP Programme Manager – Service Readiness. This role is hybrid working with 3 days per week on site in Cheshire, for an initial 12 month contract.

Overview:
As the SAP Programme Manager – Service Readiness, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing a programme-wide approach to Service Design and Transition across the clients ambitious SAP S/4HANA implementation. This complex global deployment impacts numerous SAP & non-SAP systems as well as IT services, and you will ensure seamless integration with a focus on both the core S/4HANA components and any affected ancillary systems. You will establish and manage strategies to address varying process and service requirements, ensuring adherence and completion of tasks while visibly reporting progress and risks to both the Programme and the SD&T Team. Supported by the SD&T team, you will act as a consultant, bringing your expertise to bear while driving forward our programme objectives.
Requirements:
This role requires a proactive individual experienced in-Service Design and Transition, combined with solid project management expertise. A track record of successful change management in large-scale environments is essential. Strong communication skills and relationship-building capabilities are vital for collaborating across global functions.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive programme-wide Service Design & Transition (SD&T) strategy covering all aspects of the SAP S/4HANA deployments and affected non-SAP systems and IT services. Experience in ECC / S/4 and non-SAP systems.
- Lead compliance tracking, ensuring all elements adhere to the established SD&T processes, and report progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders effectively.
- Collaborate with the SD&T Team to ensure adherence to guidelines that govern AstraZeneca’s operations, ensuring compliance with regulations such as SoX, Privacy, and GxP.
- Collaborate with the Regional Site IT group and the Global Service Desk group to ensure adherence to service offerings and service readiness, proposing where additional funding or resources are required to go-live seamlessly.
- Deliver regular performance management reports and updates to the Axial Programme and SD&T Team, providing transparency on activities and progress.
- Support the creation of process documentation and training materials for SD&T processes and drive engagement across the programme lifecycle.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in IT Service Management, Service Design, and Transition processes.
