Summary: The SAP Product Owner role involves supporting a recently deployed SAP4HANA solution within the AIR Business Systems Competency Centre in the UK. The successful candidate will engage with various stakeholders, manage product requirements, and ensure effective incident management. This position requires a proactive individual with extensive SAP experience and strong communication skills. The role is initially for 6 months and requires security clearance checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining and prioritising requirements based on customer insights, commercial value, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborating with delivery partners to identify optimal technical solutions.
- Ensuring incidents/defects are accurately recorded and managed in line with SLA.
- Reviewing trends and recurring issues to identify knowledge gaps or training needs.
- Reporting progress on incidents and changes via an integrated roadmap/product backlog.
- Defining User Stories for assessing impacts of potential issues and proposed changes.
- Coordinating User Testing following software updates/changes.
- Understanding cross-functional impacts to ensure smooth project transitions.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience managing and supporting SAP products.
- Strong customer focus and ability to understand customer requirements.
- Understanding of IM&T/software development life cycle, including Agile methodologies.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills to interact with development teams and stakeholders.
- In-depth industry knowledge from equivalent roles supporting SAP implementations.
- Information Systems/Engineering diploma/degree or equivalent (desirable).
- Familiarity with IT trends and good practices (desirable).

Role Description
An opportunity has arisen for a SAP Product Owner to be based in the UK within the AIR Business Systems Competency Centre.
As the SAP Product Owner you will be supporting a SAP4HANA solution that has been recently deployed to a number of the client's partners/entities.
The successful candidate will be able to integrate with the customer community, IM&T Support Teams and 3rd party IT Partners.
This role will provide exposure to a range of stakeholders and their suppliers.
As this is a new role the successful candidate will play a key part in shaping the role and defining the optimum operating model and processes based on previous experience gained in a similar role.

Knowledge:
In-depth industry knowledge gained through equivalent role supporting SAP implementations.

Understanding of IM&T/software development life cycle (including methodologies eg Agile)
