JOB TITLE: Global SAP S/4HANA Finance Functional Lead

LOCATION: UK, London (Hybrid working, 3 days per week on-site. International travel maybe required)

We are embarking on a large scale, global SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration and are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Functional Lead to play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and deployment of the Finance workstream for the global template and pilot markets. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between the business finance function, technical teams and the Systems Integrator, ensuring that the S/4HANA Finance solution meets business requirements while aligning to our global design principles and fit-to-standard S/4 best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Finance processes migrating from our SAP ECC single global template to S/4HANA.
• Serve as the key functional finance lead in the SAP S/4HANA program, driving the solution architecture and design decisions in alignment with global standards and business objectives.
• Drive solution workshops with Finance stakeholders to define the global template changes (processes to be “re-imagined in S/4) and the future state process landscape
• Ensure the integrity of the global template while accommodating localized statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to the finance stream, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Provide functional leadership during testing, cutover, and hyper-care phases.
• Work closely with technical teams on configuration, integration, and data migration activities.
• Champion process simplification, automation, and harmonization through the use of relevant SAP S/4HANA innovations.
• Ensure integration across related end to end process such as order to cash, source to settle, treasury, integrated business planning etc.
• Ensure integration across connected global systems supporting the end-to -process including for e.g. Central Finance (S/4), BPC Management and Statutory, SAP Master Data Hub and MDG (S/4) and Bank Account Management (BAM).
• Support governance and design authority processes to maintain solution integrity and standardisation.
• The role includes being the Global Design Authority lead for Finance.
• Co-ordinate with offshore/nearshore delivery teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in SAP Finance Leadership, with at least 1 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation as Finance Lead (preferably in a global or multi-country context).
• Strong understanding of the FMCG business environment and associated finance processes.
• Proven leadership of large-scale SAP transformation programs, with experience managing global teams and complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Deep expertise in core SAP S/4HANA Finance modules in integration with core business processes.
• Familiarity with Central Finance and SAP Fiori-based user experience.
• SAP BPC experience would also be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of finance compliance, statutory, and audit requirements globally.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
• Experience with Agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience in working with major system integrators and global delivery models.
