Summary: We are looking for an experienced SAP FPSL Technical Consultant to join a SAP consulting partner in the UK for an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension. The role involves designing and implementing technical solutions in a banking environment, ensuring compliance with UK banking regulations, and providing support for FPSL technical issues. The consultant will also manage integrations with SAP S/4HANA Finance and develop ETL processes for financial data. This position requires a strong technical background in SAP FPSL and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement SAP FPSL architecture and technical solutions in a banking environment.
  • Configure FPSL rules, event-based processing, and ledger postings to support financial reporting and compliance.
  • Manage the integration of FPSL with SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP HANA.
  • Develop data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for financial data.
  • Work on HANA-based data modeling, CDS Views, Calculation Views, and SQL scripting.
  • Implement custom logic for financial calculations, cost allocations, and regulatory reporting.
  • Support enhancements for subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliation in a multi-ledger environment.
  • Ensure FPSL meets UK banking regulations (IFRS 9, IFRS 17, Basel III, FCA, PRA, SOX, PCI-DSS).
  • Support financial risk calculations, loan loss provisions, and real-time financial analytics.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support for FPSL technical issues, debugging, and performance tuning. Manage FPSL system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in alignment with business needs.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with SAP FPSL architecture and technical solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations (IFRS 9, IFRS 17, Basel III, FCA, PRA, SOX, PCI-DSS).
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP HANA integration.
  • Expertise in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Familiarity with HANA-based data modeling, CDS Views, Calculation Views, and SQL scripting.
  • Ability to implement custom logic for financial calculations and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience in providing technical support and performance tuning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
