Summary: The SAP S/4 HANA Finance Data Specialist role involves supporting the design, governance, and implementation of finance master data within a global pharmaceutical client's S/4 HANA transformation program. The specialist will ensure financial data structures align with enterprise standards and facilitate accurate planning and reporting processes. Collaboration with stakeholders to translate finance data requirements into scalable solutions is essential, alongside defining best-practice data standards and governance models. The position requires strong knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA FICO and financial master data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, governance, and implementation of finance master data across the S/4 HANA transformation program.
- Align financial data structures with enterprise standards and ensure readiness for data migration.
- Collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate finance data requirements into scalable S/4 HANA solutions.
- Define best-practice data standards and support the creation of global master data governance models.
- Ensure integration of data objects such as Profit Centres, Cost Centres, WBS Elements, and COPA fields with business needs.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP, particularly S/4 HANA FICO and Controlling modules.
- Solid understanding of financial master data including WBS, Profit Centres, Cost Centres, and Margin Analysis (COPA).
- Experience in process design and how data enables planning, analytics, and operational reporting.
- Familiarity with Master Data Governance (MDG) frameworks and ServiceNow or similar workflow tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate and simplify complex data concepts for business stakeholders.
- Qualified accountant (or equivalent experience) with a background in finance, planning, or management reporting.

This role will be instrumental in aligning financial data structures with enterprise standards, ensuring readiness for data migration, and enabling accurate planning and reporting processes across global markets. The Finance Data Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with enterprise stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate finance data requirements into scalable S/4 HANA solutions. Also contributing to defining best-practice data standards and support the creation of global master data governance models, and ensuring data objects such as Profit Centres, Cost Centres, WBS Elements, and COPA fields are well-integrated and aligned to business needs.
