Summary: The SAP Finance Business Analyst will support a large-scale ERP and Supply Chain transformation programme, acting as the functional authority for SAP Finance. This role involves ensuring financial integrity and accounting accuracy while defining integrations between non-SAP Supply Chain platforms and SAP S/4HANA Finance. The analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive effective solutions and challenge unnecessary complexities in design. The position is a 4-month contract with a hybrid working arrangement based in Windsor, UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the SAP Finance gatekeeper, reviewing and approving Finance-related solution designs impacting SAP S/4HANA
- Own and govern Finance process design across integrated Supply Chain and ERP workflows
- Define and validate interfaces between non-SAP Supply Chain systems and SAP S/4HANA Finance
- Support Procure-to-Pay process integration, including invoice matching, inventory movements, and financial postings
- Ensure financial controls, auditability, and accounting integrity across all integrated processes
- Assess month-end and period-close impacts across Finance and Supply Chain integrations
- Drive fit-gap analysis and recommend scalable, SAP-standard solutions wherever possible
- Challenge over-engineered or bespoke designs, promoting SAP best practice and simplicity
- Collaborate closely with Technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and system integrators
- Support issue resolution and process improvement across Finance integration landscapes
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as an SAP Finance Business Analyst within complex ERP environments
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance processes and controls
- Clear experience integrating Finance processes with external/non-SAP Supply Chain systems
- Strong understanding of MM-FI integration concepts across Procure-to-Pay and inventory processes
- Experience governing interfaces, integrations, and cross-functional process design
- Ability to conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend practical process improvements
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge design decisions
- Experience working alongside system integrators and third-party vendors
- Solid understanding of financial governance, auditability, and period-close impacts
- Experience working within large-scale transformation or ERP programmes
