Summary: An excellent fixed-term contract opportunity has arisen for a SAP FICO & S/4 Hana Consultant at Computacenter, a growing IT business in Hatfield. The role involves providing high-level consultancy, managing projects related to finance, and ensuring best practices in SAP usage. The consultant will work closely with Business Partners and the Group Finance function, focusing on delivering business targets and maintaining confidentiality. This position requires strong SAP Finance skills and experience in project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level consultancy role within specialist area to peer group and internal customers
  • Manage and implement projects relevant to Finance and other related specialist area
  • Develop and motivate team to help ensure the delivery of function and business targets
  • Assess situations, issues and opportunities and escalate when appropriate
  • Act as a point of escalation on complex issues and provide appropriate support to other team members
  • Maintain confidentiality in all business-related matters
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure best practice and continual improvement in delivery of service to the business
  • Establish productive relationships and networks at Senior Management level to build and maintain relationships
  • Responsible for the adoption of Computacenter best practice and service offerings to ensure consistency of service
  • Make decisions which impact on the success of assigned projects i.e. results, deadlines and budget
  • Act in accordance with Computacenter Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks to the organisation

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of finance business processes and accounting practices
  • Strong SAP Finance skills: SAP FICO, S/4 HANA Finance preferably Multi-Tenant Edition
  • Implementation and delivery experience, which should include at least 3 full project lifecycle of ECC & 1 full project lifecycle of S/4 HANA
  • Proven experience in agile delivery methods, change management, test strategy and execution, cutover planning and execution
  • Additional desirable skills: Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (COPA), FSCM and Banking Integration, OpenText (VIM), Project Systems (PS), Asset Accounting (AA), period end close (SAP FCC), financial reporting and consolidation, tax Integration experience with other SAP modules (SD, MM)
  • Working experience on various inbound & outbound interfaces

An excellent fixed-term contract opportunity has arisen for a SAP FICO & S/4 Hana Consultant to become part of Computacenter, a large growing IT business based in Hatfield. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will work closely with Business Partners and the Group Finance function on the day-to-day activities related to SAP usage and exploitation.
