Summary: The SAP FICO Consultant role focuses on implementing S/4HANA Public Cloud solutions within a leading financial services organization. The position requires a seasoned professional to lead full-cycle SAP FICO implementations and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance financial systems. The role also involves mentoring junior team members and staying updated on SAP innovations. Some travel to Dublin, Ireland is expected as part of the job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle SAP FICO implementations on the S/4HANA Public Cloud platform.
- Translate finance process requirements into functional SAP designs across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Controlling.
- Guide internal and external stakeholders on SAP best practices and public cloud capabilities.
- Take ownership of delivery timelines, scope, and resource management for finance system projects.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including technical and business users.
- Support pre-sales efforts including solution design and proposal documentation.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and assist in knowledge transfer across the SAP practice.
- Remain up to date with the latest SAP innovations and trends, particularly within the cloud landscape.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in SAP FICO.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering SAP projects, ideally within a consultancy or large enterprise environment.
- Strong finance process understanding and ability to align technology with business outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Activate methodology and fit-to-standard deployment approach.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
- SAP certifications in FICO or S/4HANA Public Cloud.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven track record in project leadership and resource management.
- Third-level qualification in Information Technology, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Relevant SAP certifications highly advantageous.
