Summary: The SAP EWM Functional Consultant at Tata Technologies will be responsible for functional and process delivery across warehouse and logistics value streams at manufacturing plants. The role involves leading workshops, developing knowledge of business processes, and managing ERP system deployments. This position requires on-site availability three days a week and is offered as a six-month contract outside IR35. The consultant will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of solutions in S4 HANA and other SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, organize, develop, and execute customer-facing Fit To Standard and Solution Validation Workshops.
- Develop extensive knowledge of current state business processes, solution design, and challenges.
- Present future state industry standard processes and secure business global process owner buy-in.
- Develop and secure approval for solutions to be configured, developed, or integrated in S4 HANA, BTP, and SAP Cloud modules.
- Manage collaboration and outcomes from various stakeholders including functional consultants and business SMEs.
- Work in Scrum teams to deliver agreed scope while maintaining close contact with stakeholders.
- Ensure engagement occurs at appropriate lifecycle points and manage effective handover to operational support.
- Manage deployment of key manufacturing ERP systems and integration with other systems.
- Create project documentation and artifacts using customer standard templates and tools.
Key Skills:
- Experience with scaled Agile Scrum S4 HANA and BTP delivery.
- Agile Scrum delivery experience in the Automotive Industry.
- Delivery experience of manufacturing plant and operational enablers.
- Strong experience in Agile, Scrum, SAP Activate, Dev Ops, and TOGAF.
- Proficiency in tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Experience running design, fit to standard, and validation workshops.
- Management experience in high-pressure environments within Automotive and IT Programme Management.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT systems in automotive manufacturing.

Scope of the role: SAP Consultant with extensive knowledge of EWM module to be responsible for functional and process delivery across the assigned warehouse & logistic value streams at our customers manufacturing plants and other locations. The role is offered out as a 6 month outside IR35 role. Your limited company will need to undergo an IR35 assessment at the offer stage before a consultancy agreement is released. The role will require the consultant to be available 3 days a week on site.
Area of Responsibility
- Leading, organising, developing and executing customer facing Fit To Standard and Solution Validation Workshops.
- Develop extensive and comprehensive knowledge of current state business process, solution design and challenges.
- Present future state industry standard processes.
- Secure business global process owner buy-in to operate in an industry standard way.
- Develop and secure approval for an agreed solution to be configured and or developed and or integrated in S4 HANA and or BTP and or SAP Cloud modules.
- Manage the collaboration and outcomes from functional consultants, global process owners, business process leads, business SMEs, IT SMEs, Business Product Owners, IT Product Managers.
- Work in Scrum teams of developers to deliver an agreed scope in accordance with the governance model and maintaining close contact with all stakeholders.
- Works with Business Change and Service Transition Managers to ensure engagement occurs at appropriate points throughout the lifecycle, business readiness is secured and that the effective handover to operational (Dev Ops) support is managed effectively.
- Managing the deployment of key manufacturing ERP systems.
- Managing the Integration of ERP to other systems including PLM, MES etc.
- Create Project documentation and artefacts using customer standard templates and available online tools and framework e.g. SAP Activate etc.
Knowledge / Experience
- Experience of scaled Agile Scrum S4 HANA and BTP delivery with Developers and Teams distributed across multiple geographies.
- Agile Scrum delivery experience of Automotive Industry Standard S4 HANA and BTP Solution/ Integration in a SAP Activate Framework.
- Delivery experience of manufacturing plant and operational enablers including but not restricted to – Applications, IT Services, Infrastructure for S4 HANA, BTP, BW HANA EWM etc. and End Points.
- Strong experience in Agile, Scrum, SAP Activate, Dev Ops, TOGAF as well as tools Jira, Confluence etc.
- Experience of running design, fit to standard and validation workshops
- Experienced manager having worked in rapidly changing, high pressure and diverse domains within Automotive and / or Manufacturing and IT Programme Management roles
- Enterprise IT systems in an automotive manufacturer
