SAP EWM Consultant required for an SAP Programme based in the UK on a contract basis for 6 months initially.
Responsible for design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions. Work closely with business users, warehouse operations, and IT teams. Ensure efficient warehousing, inventory accuracy, and process optimization. Analyse business requirements and map them to SAP S4 HANA EWM processes. Ensure integration with SAP S/4HANA or ECC modules (MM, SD, PP, QM).
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support SAP BAU operations and implement, configure, and optimize SAP EWM on HANA for warehouse management processes.
- Analyse business requirements and design solutions for inbound, outbound, internal warehouse movements, and inventory processes.
- Integrate SAP EWM with other SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, QM, LE) and external systems such as automation tools (RF, conveyors, ASRS, AGVs).
- Configure key EWM master data including storage types, warehouse structure, work centres, resources, and packaging specifications.
- Support and configure Putaway, picking strategies, slotting, replenishment, and wave management processes.
- Manage and configure RF processes, labour management, and warehouse order creation rules.
- Provide end-user training, SOP documentation, and functional knowledge transfer sessions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP EWM-related issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure system stability and performance.
- Support testing cycles including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and cutover activities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of warehouse processes and system integration
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Graduate/Post-Graduate in Engineering, Information Technology, or Management
- Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics processes
- Experience working in SAP S4 HANA EWM solutions
- Ability to translate business requirements into SAP EWM configurations
- Hands-on experience in implementation, rollout, or production support
- Comfortable working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Experience with SAP EWM on S/4HANA (Embedded or Decentralized)
- Hands-on exposure to Advanced Warehouse processes, including; Yard Management, Cross-Docking scenarios, Slotting & Rearrangement, Wave and labour-oriented picking
- Understanding of Lean Warehousing / Continuous Improvement
- Knowledge of compliance and audit requirements in warehouse operations
