Summary: The SAP Environment Manager role involves overseeing and optimizing SAP system landscapes across various environments, ensuring stability and alignment with project timelines. This position requires a hybrid working arrangement with 3-4 days per week onsite in either London or Manchester for an initial 6-month contract. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end SAP landscape environments (DEV, QA, UAT, PRE-PROD, PROD).
  • Define and enforce environment governance, usage policies, and scheduling.
  • Oversee SAP Transport Management System (TMS) operations.
  • Coordinate transport movements across landscapes with minimal disruption.
  • Plan and execute system refreshes, client copies, and data masking activities.
  • Coordinate with BASIS and functional teams for environment preparation.
  • Allocate environments for testing cycles (Unit Testing, SIT, UAT).
  • Manage dependencies between projects competing for shared environments.
  • Act as the central point of contact between BASIS, Development, Functional, and QA teams.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge in supply chain operations area for retail clients.
  • 6-12+ years of SAP experience, with strong focus on environment management.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP TMS (Transport Management System).
  • Experience with ChaRM (Change Request Management) / SAP Solution Manager.
  • Knowledge of system refreshes and client copies.
  • Understanding of SAP BASIS fundamentals (system architecture, transport routes, RFCs).
  • Knowledge of S/4HANA landscapes and hybrid/cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, SAP LaMa is a plus).
  • Ability to drive release strategy and cross-project coordination.
  • Strong communication skills for managing risks, escalations, and stakeholder communication.
