SAP Enterprise Architect

Summary: The SAP Enterprise Architect role requires a seasoned professional with over 10 years of IT experience, including at least 4 years in enterprise architecture. The position focuses on translating business capabilities into comprehensive architectural designs and governance processes, particularly within SAP ERP and SAP S/4 HANA environments. The architect will lead discussions with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and adherence to architecture standards while driving innovations and improvements in IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides direction and support to project teams by translating business capabilities into well-defined projects/programs with clear objectives and deliverables.
• Visualizes and communicates architecture concepts, principles, strategies, and models for programs, initiatives, and domains.
• Facilitates architecture discussions with cross-functional business sponsors and product lines to ensure alignment.
• Participates as a member or facilitator in relevant business/IT governance processes.
• Ensures alignment between architecture projects and standards and related IT projects and plans by working with appropriate IT and business management.
• Develops recommendations which will improve the business value of IT projects and plans.
• Sets direction and approves future state architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps for/across business functions.
• Drives architecture-related research to further mature architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps.
• Directs and approves innovations and/or prototypes based on research and approves recommendations on architecture, tools, methodologies, and/or processes.
• Facilitates architecture governance and ensures adherence to architecture standards.
• Obtains buy-in for architecture standards, guidelines, blueprints, and roadmaps from appropriate business and IT leaders.
• Promotes benefits and value of architecture and architecture management to the business and IT senior management.
• Provides guidance on strategy and planning in support of overall prioritization and portfolio planning.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor Degree
• 10+ years of overall IT experience
• 4+ years specializing in enterprise architecture
• Hands-on experience designing and governing SAP ERP and SAP S/4 HANA architectures
• Strong understanding of SAP integration patterns and data models
• Experience establishing and enforcing architecture standards and governance processes
