Summary: The role of Data Migration Lead involves overseeing a Greenfield project that transitions legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA, utilizing Data Services and Migration Cockpit. The position requires SC/DV security clearance and entails managing a development team while providing mentorship and solutions based on development experience. The role also involves collaboration with SAP functional teams and business data stewards to address data cleansing and analysis issues. This is a contract position based in Reading, with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a development team and planning project activities.
- Resolving defects and communicating data and SAP concepts to various stakeholders.
- Mentoring team members and providing solutions based on development experience.
- Collaborating with SAP functional teams and business data stewards on data cleansing and analysis.
- Running data workshops and preparing technical documentation.
- Analyzing source datasets.
Key Skills:
- Deep understanding of the data migration life cycle and full project lifecycle.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Data Services, and Migration Cockpit.
- Strong communication skills for various levels of understanding.
- Ability to mentor and lead a development team.

Salary (Rate): £750 daily

Job Description:I am looking for a Data Migration Lead for a Greenfield project, legacy to SAP S/4HANA using Data Services & Migration Cockpit for a client of mine who are an IT consultancy and digital transformation organisation operating within the UK defence and central government space.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a development team, planning, defect resolution, ability to communicate about data and SAP to all levels of understanding.
- Whilst the role is a lead and not a developer, they must be able to mentor the team and suggest solutions based on development experience, plus help out if needed.
- Work closely with SAP functional teams and business data stewards advising them on data cleansing and data analysis issues.
Experience:
- Previous experience and deep understanding of the data migration life cycle and full project lifecycle.
- Running data workshops,
- Preparing and reviewing technical documentation,
- Analysing source datasets.
