Role Overview
Our manufacturing and defence customer is undertaking a major SAP ECC project, with a planned transition to S/4HANA. They are looking for an experienced SAP Data Lead to define and deliver the data strategy across both phases of the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the overall SAP data strategy, governance and migration plan for the ECC implementation and subsequent S/4HANA upgrade.
- Lead data migration activities including data extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation and reconciliation.
- Define the approach for migrating Legacy data into ECC, ensuring the strategy supports the future S/4HANA migration.
- Work closely with business, functional and technical teams to define data requirements, ownership and governance.
- Establish data migration standards, processes, templates and controls.
- Provide guidance on data quality and ensure data is fit for purpose throughout the programme.
- Coordinate data migration activities across multiple business functions and stakeholders.
Key Experience
- Strong experience as an SAP Data Lead/Data Migration Lead on major SAP programmes.
- Proven experience developing SAP data strategies and migration roadmaps.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA data structures and migration approaches.
- Experience managing complex data migration programmes from Legacy systems into SAP.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, ideally within manufacturing, engineering or defence environments.
- Experience managing the transition from ECC to S/4HANA would be highly desirable.
