Summary: The SAP Consultant (SAP Analytics Cloud) role focuses on delivering SAP Analytics Cloud solutions in financial accounting and commercial finance, emphasizing business change and technology integration. The position involves supporting the implementation of Datasphere technology for real-time data connectivity and requires collaboration with the Finance Systems team to enhance data control and reporting. The consultant will also provide guidance to finance users and manage system enhancements while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion control in data, data modeling, reporting, and dashboards while minimizing risk and ensuring appropriate segregation of duties.
- Support Finance Systems during the delivery of new technology from early 2025, including an enhanced SAP Rise instance, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Treasury Management System, and a shift in business reporting to analytics and advanced tools.
- Provide guidance to finance end users in utilizing data and analytics effectively.
- Coordinate developing new functionalities and resolve system defects in collaboration with the Technology team.
- Support SAP finance modules and interfaces with other systems in the finance function related to data and governance.
- System administration and oversight of SAP SAC finance roles, including segregation of duties in SAP, SAP GRC reviews, and mitigation reports for the Head of Financial Control.
- Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Manage and prioritize the finance backlog for system changes and enhancements.
- Act as a liaison between finance users and the IT dev team, writing requirements for system enhancements and new builds.
- Conduct 1st line testing of newly implemented system enhancements.
- Provide training to finance users and prepare training documentation.
- Support the monthly financial close process by addressing data reconciliation issues and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
- Build detailed knowledge of data sources and appropriate use of this data.
- Create and support business cases for data analysis and anticipate future needs for new data sources.
- Participate in data quality, master data management, and metadata management activities.
- Contribute to the creation of data models, dashboards, and advanced visualizations in support of the Finance Operating Model.
Key Skills:
- Desirable: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience/alternative qualification considered).
- Strong academic background, including University and A-levels.
- ERP applications (SAC essential, SAP ERP BW desirable, and DataSphere desirable) with recent experience in system implementations.
- Previous involvement in SAC Dashboarding, Stories, and data modeling.
- Experience with Visio or other process mapping tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive challenge when necessary.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and workloads effectively.
- Focused on continuous improvement and striving for excellence.
