SAP Business Objects Consultant

The BO Consultant might receive questions on how to open/create reports, need to help business areas, analyse requirements and build reports. The duties involve everything from helping users with little knowledge and experience with the tool, to dealing with experts as well as supporting, developing and enhancing of existing reports. There has been a recent upgrade to the new version of Business Objects (BO 4.3).

Perfect candidate:

A technical expert, who has good ability to communicate, picks up the phone and discusses the needs of the business areas.

General Information:

• Start date: ASAP

• Latest start date: February 2026

• End date: 12 months contract + extensions up to 5 years

• Work location: Basel

• Workload: 100% (50% home office in Switzerland per week, 20 days remote work in EU per year)

• On Call: depending on need, there might be occasional weekend work or work on public holidays required

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• The role will be to provide all aspects of Business Objects development and support to users.

• Report creation/modification, universe creation/modification.

• The candidate must be adaptable and willing to work the occasional weekend or bank holiday for system changes/testing outside of normal working hours.

Must haves:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience of working with Business Objects

• Detailed knowledge of Business Objects version 4.3

• Report creation/modification, universe creation/modification

• experience with Business Objects support to non technical users.

• Expert knowledge of SQL.
