Summary: The SAP Archive Specialist (Open Text ILM consultant) is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of SAP Data & Document Archiving and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) across various SAP landscapes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage SAP Data & Document Archiving and ILM across ECC, S/4HANA, and BW/4HANA landscapes.
  • Configure new applications to support SAP standard retail functionality.
  • Run production archiving/ILM jobs, monitor throughput, and resolve ArchiveLink RFC/HTTP content server issues.
  • Collaborate with BASIS, Security, and Business Process teams to enforce defensible retention policies.
  • Ensure solutions comply with GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, and maintain audit trails and policy documentation.
  • Optimize storage solutions for cost efficiency and performance.

SAP Archive Specialist (Open Text ILM consultant) Opportunities

As part of a greenfield implementation/rollout/enhancement and steady state on SAP with RISE, new applications are being provisioned and configured to support new SAP standard retail functionality. The technical setup and configuration of these newly provisioned systems need to be completed in order to enable the functional build to be deployed to support SIT, UAT, Performance testing prior/post to go-live.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience :

  • Strong knowledge of SAP ADK (Archive Development Kit), SARA, SARI, and OpenText ArchiveLink.
  • Deep knowledge of OpenText Archive Center, Document Access, and Extended ECM
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP Business Suite, HANA Database, and Archive Server administration
  • Good understanding of ArchiveLink architecture, Storage Categories, and basic ABAP for analyzing archiving objects.
  • Data Modeling and Architecture: Proficiency in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and designing the overall data infrastructure.
  • Run production archiving/ILM jobs, monitor throughput, and resolve ArchiveLink RFC/HTTP content server issues; perform health checks and tuning to minimize business impact
  • Work closely with BASIS, Security, Business Process teams, vendors, and external partners for aligned archiving strategies
