Summary: The role of SAP APO IBP Functional Consultant involves taking ownership of enterprise supply chain planning solutions and leading the design and rollout of SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) within a major client's SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud transformation. The consultant will support the existing SAP APO landscape while ensuring strong integration with SAP S/4HANA and driving continuous improvement in live planning environments. This position requires significant experience in SAP APO and IBP, along with strong supply chain planning knowledge. The role is based in the UK with some onsite travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acting as the functional owner for demand, supply and production planning solutions
  • Leading the transition from SAP APO to SAP IBP
  • Designing, configuring and optimising IBP solutions (Demand, Supply & Response, S&OP)
  • Redesigning Legacy planning processes into scalable, standardised, future-ready solutions
  • Working closely with internal departments, IT and external partners
  • Ensuring strong integration between planning solutions and SAP S/4HANA
  • Supporting live planning environments while driving continuous improvement
  • Hands-on experience with CIF, planning master data, and planning area design.
  • Working knowledge of SAP BW or Embedded analytics to support planning data and KPIs.

Key Skills:

  • 6+ years' hands-on SAP APO experience (DP, SNP or equivalent)
  • Practical experience with SAP IBP (Demand and Supply), ideally in implementation
  • Strong supply chain planning knowledge (forecasting, MRP, BOM planning)
  • Experience integrating with SAP ECC or S/4HANA
  • Confident communicator able to influence business process change
  • Proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong ownership
  • A background working in complex, multi-plant or multi-site manufacturing environments, ideally FMCG is preferred.

Our major client is seeking an experienced SAP APO/SAP IBP Consultant to take ownership of enterprise supply chain planning solutions and play a key role in a SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud transformation.
