Summary: The SAP ABAP BRF+ Consultant role involves designing, developing, and implementing BRF+ applications to automate complex business logic while collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements. The position requires extensive experience in SAP ABAP development and BRF+, along with the ability to integrate these solutions with existing SAP components. The consultant will also be responsible for testing, documentation, and ongoing support of BRF+ applications. This role is based in Kansas City, MO, with a requirement for 25% travel and a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement BRF+ applications, functions, and rulesets to automate complex business logic.
  • Work with business stakeholders and functional consultants to gather and analyze business requirements for rule-based processes.
  • Integrate BRF+ with existing and new SAP ABAP programs, Fiori applications, and other SAP components.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all BRF+ solutions.
  • Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the quality and accuracy of developed rules.
  • Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for existing BRF+ applications.
  • Optimize BRF+ performance and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • At least 10+ years of hands-on experience with Business Rule Framework Plus (BRF+).
  • In-depth knowledge of BRF+ objects, including Applications, Functions, Rulesets, Decision Tables, Expressions, and Data Objects.
  • Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP).
  • Experience with other SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI, or HR is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with BRF+ integration in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Knowledge of other SAP Business Process Management tools, such as SAP Workflow.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
  • SAP certification in ABAP or other relevant modules
