Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed regulatory analysis on customer escalations and payment escalations, ensuring accurate interpretation of complex regulations across multiple jurisdictions such as the US, Japan, the UK and the EU.
- Identify and assess sanctions and regulatory risks associated with specific transactions, customers or activities within the financial services and banking environment.
- Evaluate whether identified risks fall within the organisation's risk appetite and escalate issues appropriately when they exceed defined thresholds.
- Review and interpret regulatory documentation to ensure that decisions and recommendations comply with relevant sanctions and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare clear, concise and well-structured written recommendations that outline findings, risk assessments and proposed actions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify regulatory requirements and support informed decision-making on high-risk or complex cases.
- Maintain accurate records of reviews, analyses and decisions to support auditability and regulatory scrutiny.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of compliance review processes by sharing insights on emerging regulatory trends and recurring risk themes.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in compliance or regulatory analysis within financial services or banking.
- Strong understanding of sanctions frameworks and regulatory requirements relevant to cross-border financial activity.
