Summary: The Advanced Social Work Practitioner role at Salford City Council involves providing leadership within the Adult Community Mental Health Team, focusing on safeguarding, staff supervision, and service improvement. The position requires a qualified social worker to promote independence and well-being for adults while supporting the Team Manager in delivering high-quality services. Key Responsibilities:
- Leading on safeguarding (adults & children), overseeing Section 42 enquiries, and chairing safeguarding meetings.
- Providing staff supervision, professional development, and mentorship for social workers.
- Holding a reduced CPA caseload to focus on leadership and service improvement.
- Acting as an AMHP (if qualified) and contributing to the AMHP Manager rota if suitably experienced.
- Promoting independence, social inclusion, and well-being for adults of working age.
- Supporting the Team Manager in delivering high-quality services.
Key Skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in safeguarding and complex case management.
- AMHP qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Experience in a mental health setting, particularly within CMHTs.
- Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act, and Making Safeguarding Personal.
