Summary: The Salesforce Technical Lead role involves leading the technical design and implementation of Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions, focusing on Progressive Web Applications. The position requires overseeing a team of developers to ensure high-quality e-commerce experiences while mentoring newer team members. This is a hybrid role based in Leeds, UK, with a temporary contract duration of over six months. The candidate should possess extensive expertise in SFCC architecture and PWA development practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the technical design, development, and implementation of Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions with a strong focus on Progressive Web Applications (PWA) technology
- Overseeing a team of Developers while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and performant E-commerce experiences on the platform; requiring extensive expertise in SFCC architecture, PWA development practices, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Performing design, debug, and performance analysis on solutions
- Documenting and sharing best practice knowledge for new solutions
- Share knowledge with the team and help mentor newer Developers
- Impact assessment of high priority/critical enhancement request and track solution delivery end to end
- Learn new technology PWA/MRT and Salesforce B2C via self-learning
Key Skills:
- Experience with 1-2 e2e Transformation E-commerce program in retail industry
- Realtime enterprise grade websites within a large delivery project/team using React.js (Next.js), Node.js (Express.js), Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (SFRA, SCAPI, SLAS), Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS 3, Media Query
- Working experience of state management frameworks (Redux, etc.)
- Experience of building & deploying with serverless frameworks
- Strong understanding of code quality, security and performance considerations
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Awareness of Progressive Web Application (PWA/Composable) website development
- Working experience of integrating 3rd part applications using RESTful services
- Strong knowledge of payment gateway integrations
- Good knowledge of Salesforce Admin, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C)
- Experience in using design tools like Figma
- Experience in using collaboration tools like Storybook
- Familiar with Microsoft Azure Cloud
- Familiar with DevSecOps practices
- Working experience in highly transactional eCommerce websites development
- Awareness of search, CMS, SEO, analytics integrations

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Salesforce Commerce Cloud Technical Leads to be based at their client's office in Leeds, UK.
This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely in the UK and attend the Leeds office 3 days per week .
This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP
Day rate: Competitive Market rate
