Summary: The Salesforce Solution Architect role involves leading the design and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions, focusing on systems integration. The position requires collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into architectural designs. The ideal candidate should possess deep technical knowledge of Salesforce clouds and integration patterns. This is a 3-month contract position based in Gaydon, requiring on-site presence three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end solution design across Salesforce Sales, Service, Experience Cloud, and related platforms.
- Architect and oversee integration solutions using REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, or other middleware tools.
- Develop integration patterns, data models, and system interaction diagrams for complex multi-system environments.
- Ensure alignment of Salesforce architecture with enterprise integration standards, security guidelines, and scalability requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into detailed technical designs and solution roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership to developers, admins, and integration teams throughout project lifecycles.
- Conduct code reviews, technical assessments, and solution validation to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Optimize data flows, API performance, and integration reliability across cloud and on-prem systems.
- Manage Salesforce platform governance, including environment strategy, release planning, and integration testing.
- Stay current with Salesforce platform enhancements, integration frameworks, and architectural trends.
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of Salesforce experience with at least 4+ years in an architect role.
- Strong expertise with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and platform capabilities (Apex, Lightning, Flows).
- Deep hands-on integration experience with REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Streaming APIs, External Services, and OAuth.
- Experience with middleware tools such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or Informatica.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns including A2A, B2B, Pub/Sub, ETL/ELT, and event-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce security model (SSO, OAuth, Profiles, Permission Sets, Connected Apps).
- Ability to produce architecture diagrams, data flow models, technical specifications, and design frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and leading cross-functional technical teams.
- Salesforce certifications preferred: Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified System Architect, Integration Architecture Designer, Platform Developer I/II.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with enterprise integration tools and message queues (Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, Azure Service Bus).
- Experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong communication, documentation, and solution-presentation skills.
