Summary: The role of Senior Product Owner focuses on leading product strategy and delivery for a transformation programme centered around Salesforce. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic and hands-on execution skills, along with a passion for mentoring junior product owners. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement with a requirement to be in central London 2-3 days a week. The role is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the Salesforce product roadmap aligned to business goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritise backlog items based on value, risk, and dependencies.
- Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business units.
- Coach and mentor junior product owners, fostering a culture of continuous learning and product excellence.
- Champion agile best practices and contribute to the evolution of product processes.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within Salesforce environments.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in agile environments, ideally with exposure to coaching or mentoring roles.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and product management frameworks.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Aha!
- Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments with competing priorities.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable product roadmaps and user stories.
- Certification in Product Ownership (e.g. CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) is desirable.
- Experience in coaching or training roles within product or agile communities is desirable.
- Thought leadership in product management (e.g. contributions to internal playbooks, communities of practice, or external publications) is desirable.
- Comfortable working across vertical and horizontal product structures.
