Summary: The Salesforce Maps Consultant role involves maximizing Salesforce Maps capabilities within Sales Cloud to enhance field operations and territory planning. The consultant will collaborate with various teams to implement geo-based solutions that improve productivity. This position requires a strong background in Salesforce and experience with routing and territory optimization. The role is based in London with a preference for one day per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct discovery workshops with Sales, Field & Quality stakeholders
  • Configure Salesforce Maps including:
    • Route optimisation & mobile routing
    • Territory Planning & balancing
    • Proximity searches, geo-fencing & boundary layers
    • Visit frequency rules & schedule optimisation
  • Define criteria for high-priority accounts (sales attributes, geography, promo windows, performance data)
  • Optimise routing engine (time-based, cost-based & constraint-based routing)
  • Set up dashboards for route performance, SLA adherence & territory efficiency
  • Integrate Salesforce Maps with Sales Cloud (Accounts, Opportunities, Visits, Tasks)
  • Deliver training for field teams on Maps mobile usage
  • Provide documentation & best practice recommendations

Key Skills:

  • 5–8+ years Salesforce experience
  • 2+ years hands-on Salesforce Maps / Maps Advanced / Territory Planning
  • Strong experience with:
    • Route optimisation
    • Territory modelling & balancing
    • Geolocation & spatial data configuration
    • Visit/cadence management
  • Strong understanding of Sales Cloud data model
  • Declarative-first configuration approach
  • Workshop facilitation & stakeholder engagement
  • Nice to Have
    • Salesforce Field Service (FSL)
    • GIS tools (ArcGIS, Esri)
    • Data Cloud exposure
    • Apex / Flow knowledge
  • Ideal Candidate
    • Strong client-facing and communication skills
    • Experience in Consumer Goods, Retail, Logistics, or Field Sales environments

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Maps Consultant to support a high-profile engagement in London. This role focuses on maximising Salesforce Maps capabilities within Sales Cloud / CG Cloud to optimise field operations, territory planning, routing efficiency, and account coverage.
